What changed

This is the first collection. There is nothing to compare it against yet.

CILEx Regulation's directory answers one question — who is on the register now — and keeps no history. Somebody authorised last month and somebody authorised in 1994 appear identically, and a firm that has lost half its legal executives looks exactly like one that has not.

So the register is archived each time it is collected, and the next collection is compared against this one. From then on this page carries the arrivals, the moves between firms and the practice rights gained since — which is the part nobody else publishes, because the source throws it away.

Baseline: 2026-09-27, 11,603 people.

Snapshots held: 2026-09-27. Each keeps five fields per person — name, employer, town, practice rights and authorisation date — and nothing else, because an archive of personal data with no retention rule is a liability, not a feature.
